What is Social Anxiety Disorder?

Feeling overwhelmed or nervous in social situations, such as when:

Symptoms: If you have social anxiety, you may:

  • drink alcohol or smoke to function socially
  • have obsessive thoughts
  • lose friendships
  • use technology to avoid being with people
  • fear of being misjudged
